Guitar and Bass Lessons

Enrolment for guitar lessons in Term Four is now open. The same for bass and ukulele lessons.

We’re coming up to the end of another good year for music. Some great new albums have come out in 2025 – from the Beaches, for example, an all-girl Canadian rock band, as well as from Lola Young. I saw both of those acts live earlier this year. Then, of course, there’s Taylor Swift, whose fans will be happy she released a new album as well.

Meanwhile, a few months ago, we had the final farewell concert from heavy metal legends, Black Sabbath, which featured other icons like Metallica and Pantera in support.

Speaking of concerts, I went to a great classical guitar performance by Edith Pageaud in August. So there has been some real musical variety this year. Classical guitar was the first guitar style I ever learned. One of my recent projects has been to make a series of classical arrangements of popular songs, which may be going on YouTube sometime soon.

So, as we come to the last quarter of the year, it’s a great time to start learning guitar, bass, or even ukulele. Get a new hobby for summer. Start learning a musical instrument like you always wanted to but never got around to doing. Or give your child a chance to learn, and begin a lifelong love of music.

We are also coming up to Christmas, so perhaps you would like to give a lesson gift voucher to your partner. You can gift a pack of two or four lessons, or however many you want.

I’m based in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, near Clovelly and Coogee. Or for those further away, guitar lessons are also available over zoom. Hope to see you soon!
